4. Agronomist (Grade 11-13) - High Altitude Highlands
Programme, Tambul
The
position requires proactive planning and implementation of
research projects on horticultural crops, with particular
emphasis on sweet potato variety evaluation and vegetables.
Variety selection and nutrient studies of other temperate
vegetable crops for high altitude will also be undertaken.
She/he will also have a good understanding of experimental
design, statistical analysis, participatory research methods
and should possess good writing and computer skills.
Applicants will host a minimum
of a post-graduate degree, preferably Master in Agriculture
or related discipline with at least three years of research
experience.

Human Resource Development
Officer (Grade 12 -13) – NARI Headquarters, Bubia, Lae
The
appointee will be responsible for facilitating, coordinating
and implementing human resource development and management
programme. The candidate must have a good knowledge of
human resource management practices and be familiar with
labour management processes, payroll, salary and staff
conditions, appraisals, training and development and
providing general support to human resource and senior
management. He/she should have initiative to become a
proactive member of the human resource team. The position
offers a challenging opportunity for a career minded
individual in a growing organisation with a diversified
multi-racial and multi-cultural environment.
The
appointee will have a degree level qualification in human
resource management or relevant disciplines, and a minimum
of 5 years of human resource management experience.
Candidates must be computer literate, and have well
developed skills in communication and information
management.
