Programme Director, GIS Scientist and Chief Chemist Vacancies

The National Agricultural Research Institute (NARI) is the lead research organization, conducting and fostering applied and development oriented research in the agriculture and rural development sectors in Papua New Guinea. Besides, NARI is responsible for providing analytical, diagnostic and advisory services to the agriculture sector. Such services include chemical analysis, advisory services and biometric and statistical services with up-to-date information to the Agriculture sector in Papua New Guinea Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced PNG citizens and permanent residents for the positions of Programme Director – Information and Knowledge and Senior Scientist(GIS), whilst the position of Chief Chemist is open to both PNG and non-PNG citizens. All positions are available for immediate placement.

1.Programme Director- Information and Knowledge (Grade 16), based at NARI Head Office, Bubia, Lae

2. Chief Chemist - Grade 15 to 16 Based at NARI Chemistry Laboratory- Kilakila, Port Moresby

3.Senior Scientist (GIS) - Grade 13-15 Based at NARI Head Office - Bubia, Lae.

Grades and salary levels within the given range will depend on qualifications and experience of the candidates. Salaries and benefits will include base salary, special domestic or international market allowance, gratuity, superannuation, leave fare, medical and life insurance, and housing and amenities allowance (or house rental allowance).
