Objectives

  1. Development of an Integrated Pest Management (IPM) for brassica crops
  2. Selection of vegetable varieties for the high altitude highlands
  3. Development of improved production methods for high altitude vegetables

Expected outputs

  1. Recommendations for IPM of brassica crops in the highlands including use of the diamond back moth parasite, Diadegma semiclausum
  2. Improved variety recommendations for temperate vegetables in the high altitude areas
  3. Improved recommendations on production practices, especially fertiliser rates and pest and disease management for the high altitude vegetables
