Sub-Programme 2 - Research Planning and Programme Development
This sub-programme undertakes systematic assessment of identified constraints and opportunities and develops issues to be addressed through appropriate agricultural research projects/studies. Such research projects are further examined (ex-ante) by considering their relative and absolute impact potentials and technical feasibilities to determine high priority and high impact research portfolios both at the institute level by NARI and at the national level by NARS and others. Such priority setting allows efficient research resource allocation at various levels, including commodity, agro-ecological zones, organisational, and national levels.
